This group are a team of highly skilled Application Engineers that deliver robust CAD solutions to product engineering. The team is responsible for the deployment of methods and techniques that enable exciting and revolutionary shift changes in the engineering design process. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Support, develop & deploy robust CAD techniques

Project management & delivery of geometry authoring based methods

Coach and Mentor the engineering user community in best CAD practices

Test & implement Methods & IT system developments

Delivery of classroom training sessions

Interface with other areas of the business (e.g. IT, CAE, Manufacturing, Engineering) and external partners (e.g. software vendors)

 

Skills, experience and qualifications required

 

The candidate will have the unique opportunity to join a specialised team in deploying the next generation design methods and being at the forefront of industry CAD tool development.

 

We are looking for a person who has a good working knowledge of Catia V5, preferably with experience in an Automotive or Aerospace industry.

 

Some experience of managing projects, training or coaching, computer literacy and familiarity with other CAD systems would be preferable.

 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

 

Sound understanding of the use of CATIA V5

Experience in a CAD/PDM environment

Experience working in the automotive or aerospace industries

A foundation of Engineering design knowledge

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Understanding of VB programming language would be advantageous but not essential
