Long established supplier of durability, test and analysis products to a range of markets including: Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Rail Transport, Wind Energy

The Role

Applications Engineer who will be required (after suitable training) –

To demonstrate and present their products, services, and technology to current and prospective customers, in conjunction with Account Managers.

To liaise with existing customers over their use of their products, to investigate problems and propose solutions.

To create presentation material - slide shows, technical papers, application notes.

To present the company\'s standard training course material and act as tutor during hands-on- sessions.

Where customised solutions are required, either consultancy or tailored software, engineers should: help the customer to define their requirements, write clear specification of the work to be done, assist with producing project plans and costs, and in executing the project to successful and timely delivery.

To keep up to date with current industry practise and relevant technical developments. 

To be aware of competitor strengths and weaknesses.

The Person

Confident, enthusiastic, motivated, keen to learn and develop. Highly mobile and able to undertake UK and some overseas travel and stay away from home when required. Team player but also capable of taking individual responsibility. Due to the security requirements of many of their projects, candidates must be British Citizens.

Requirements

A Degree in Engineering or HNC plus industry experience

A background of working in engineering or manufacturing markets

Working knowledge of industry-standard data analysis systems or test environments

Good knowledge of relevant products and associated technologies, such as fatigue/ structural analysis.

Sound engineering understanding of a wide range of applications.

Good presentation skills, both written and verbal.

Good team working skills with colleagues and customers.

High standard of professional integrity.
